MANAGEMENT IN HEALTHCARE

The School of Public Health was opened in 2001 with the support of the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands). The first enrollment for the Master program "Management in Health Care" took place in 2004.


After finishing a master program, you can work as:
  • Manager in health care setting, international organizations and projects
(middle and in perspective top level);
  • Public health and Health care specialists in the international, public and government organizations (WHO, international organizations, MOH, national projects);
  • Health economics specialists in the organizations of health care system
(MOH, Ministry of Economy, departments of health, expert institutions, international projects, national programs, health care settings).


Master program consists of four blocks of courses:
  • General skills and orientation courses
Ukrainian language, English academic writing, Introduction to master program
  • Management
Management in health care, Financing of health care facilities, Management of changes in health care, Human resources management, Management of innovations
  • Health care systems
Health care systems, Health economics, Health care law, Health policy analysis
  • Public health and research
Introduction to public health, Evidence-based public health, Research methods
and also:
  • Internship

During the second year of studying, students participate in elective courses of any out of the three directions and prepare master thesis. Master thesis is an independent research of relevant question in the sphere of public health or health care management.
